Privacy Policy

How CUPID collects, uses, and protects your data.

Effective August 25, 2026 · Last updated August 25, 2026

Who we are

MORGANIZE LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the CUPID mobile app for the USU Blind Date Club. CUPID helps club members sign up for matching events and get paired for blind dates. The Blind Date Club is a student organization at Utah State University.

By using CUPID, you agree to this policy.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run matching and the club app:

  • Account info — name, email, USU A-number, and sign-in details.
  • Profile answers — preferences you enter for matching (for example gender, orientation, politics, religion, habits, and similar answers).
  • Event data — event sign-ups, matches, and related status.
  • Feedback — ratings and comments you submit in the app.
  • Device tokens — push notification tokens, used only to send you app notifications.
  • Diagnostics — crash and basic performance data to keep the app working.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites.

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To run matching and show you your match results
  • To manage event sign-ups and capacity
  • To send push and in-app notifications about the club and your matches
  • To review feedback and improve the app
  • To fix bugs and keep the service secure

Who can see your information

  • Club admins can see membership, event sign-ups, match status, and feedback needed to run events.
  • Your match may see limited profile details that the club shares for the blind date (for example first name and a short bio), when matches are confirmed.
  • Other members do not see your full matching answers.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate CUPID:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and related backend services.
  • Firebase — push notifications and crash reporting.
  • Apple and Google — app distribution through their stores.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users, the club, USU, or MORGANIZE LLC.

Your choices

  • You can update profile answers in the app.
  • You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
  • You can flag objectionable content and block a member in the app. Blocking hides that member's content from your feed immediately.
  • You can request account deletion or a copy of your data by emailing usublinddateclub@gmail.com.

Data retention

We keep account and matching data while your account is active and as needed to run club events and prevent rematching past pairs. Crash and diagnostic data is kept for a limited time. When you delete your account, we remove personal profile data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records for safety, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.

Children

CUPID is intended for USU students who are 18 or older and members of the Blind Date Club. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

CUPID explicitly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation. Read our Child Safety Standards.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
